Bible Tools
Many Bibles, like this Spark Bible, include the following:
- Book Introduction – basic facts about each book of the Bible, such as who wrote it, where it took place, why it was written, and favorite stories and teachings in that particular book. There is a one or two page summary before each book of the Bible in the Spark Bible.
- Commentary – similar to the Introduction,but in more detail. The Spark Bible some of this with the “Did You Know?” boxes, highlighted verses, and notes occasionally on the bottom of the page.
- Index or glossary – the glossary is in the back of the Spark Bible. This is a list of subjects and people in the Bible listing a verse where it is found (index) and a short explanation of what it is (glossary).
- Maps – there are 15 maps included in the Spark Bible. This will help you find places, understand the lay of the land of Israel, and shows the changes of names and boundaries over time.
